Fishing Report ~ and the fishing has been GOOD!

Fishing Report ~ and the fishing has been GOOD!

The fishing has been on fire this past week. We dealt with some inconsistency in weather the past few weeks but, the water temps have warmed and the fishing has been nothing short of phenomenal!

Smallmouth Bass can be found shallow on both rock reefs and near shore. Anglers have had luck casting the rocky shorelines and docks. They have been hitting flukes, jerk baits, grubs, tubes, and senkos. Start anywhere from 2 feet to 9 feet. If you’re looking for deeper fish target areas with large boulders. We have been seeing a lot of nice bass in 18″-22″ range, many near four and five pounds and our guides have been having 30-40 fish days!

The Walleye bite has been good too. We have been catching them in range of different depths, with the shallower fish seeming to be the most aggressive. Bobber fishing the rocks in 15 feet or less has been the go-to method for these fish. If you’re fishing the evening bite shallower is better, look on reef tops or just off the edges.

Pike fishing has been good in Isle Bay. The fish are biting aggressively. Anglers have been throwing spinner baits and spoons over weed beds and weed edges. Many pike anglers have seen and hooked into a bonus Muskie too!

The Soo Line and Red Top ATV trails have been in awesome condition. We have been getting a spattering of rain here and there and it has kept the dust down. We’ve had riders up hitting the trails and camping and having a great time!
